We provide bushfire management expertise on to better prepare and mitigate the impacts of bushfire on properties. Our focus is on existing properties, in particular large rural properties, forestry, council reserves, mining offsets, water catchments etc.

Land owners/managers have a responsibility to manage their lands with respect to bushfire and potential impact on surrounding properties.
We conduct inspections of large properties and review current land uses, vegetation management strategies, access, water supplies and any bushfire management strategies.
We develop a bushfire management plan specific to your property and look at strategies that best suit the type of vegetation and topography to reduce potential bushfire ignition, spread and impact on existing buildings.

We work with you in developing a Bushfire Action Plan that best suits your business or development. We research previous bushfires in your area, how they may impact your property and develop the best course of action how and which way to best relocate residents, employees and others.
All those developments that are located within Bushfire Prone Areas should all have a Bushfire Action Plan or similar. Don‘t wait for a bushfire to occur before you need a Plan. Don’t wait to be evacuated.

Do you have fire trails on your property for emergency services to gain access?
We can inspect your access and fire trails situation and provide advice on what is required to either access or fire trail standards.
Fire Horizon works closely with a couple of other businesses to conduct vegetation maintenance either mechanically or through prescribed burning.
Where Fire Horizon developed bushfire plans and these have included vegetation maintenance works, we can facilitate the necessary works.
We can create and maintain; fire breaks, asset protection zones, access and fire trails.
Many properties have large areas of native bushland and the best way to manage these areas are through prescribed burns. We plan for low intensity burns that remove the ground fuel (leaf and twigs) that will aid in reduce the potential for a bushfire from starting and spreading.
We have years of experience in planning and conducting prescribed burning with a knowledge in environmental management to meet NSW legislative guidelines.
Fire Horizon is fully licensed and certified by CASA to operate drones (RPA) commercially. We also have additional exemptions by CASA which allows us to operate closer to registered aerodromes and helipads.
We are developing our drone capabilities for aerial photography, vegetation survey, bushfire risk assessments and building mapping.
